IRONMAN Copenhagen runs each August as the Danish capital's edition of the full-distance triathlon franchise: a 3.8-kilometre swim in Amager Beach Park's artificial saltwater lagoon, a 180-kilometre bike leg through Zealand's countryside, and a three-lap, 42.2-kilometre marathon along the city's waterfront.
