Odense Flower Festival in Odense
Odense Flower Festival has run each August since 1999, filling the city's historic streets, parks and squares with more than 200,000 flowers and plants over four days and drawing crowds of similar scale. Each edition builds around a curated theme, often drawn from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, with landscapers, artists and volunteers constructing elaborate floral installations along a walkable route through central Odense.
Two hundred thousand flowers and plants transform Odense's historic streets, parks and squares each August for four days when Odense Flower Festival takes over Denmark's third-largest city, drawing a crowd to match: more than 200,000 visitors, a scale that has made it one of the country's largest summer events since its founding in 1999.
