Haervejsmarchen Viborg

Haervejsmarchen has run every year since 1969 as a two-day organised march through the countryside around Viborg, now the largest IML march in Northern Europe. Participants choose distances from 5 kilometres up to a 90-kilometre two-day extreme route, walking sections of the Haervej, Denmark's oldest road and pilgrim route, connecting Jutland to Europe for more than four thousand years, starting and finishing at Viborg's Parade Square.

Distances ranging from a single five-kilometre walk up to an extreme two-day, ninety-kilometre challenge give Haervejsmarchen its genuinely broad appeal, a two-day organised march through the countryside around Viborg that has run every year since its first edition in 1969 and now stands as the largest IML march in Northern Europe, part of the International Marching League that connects similar walking events across the continent.
