QuitoFest in Quito
QuitoFest is a free, outdoor rock and alternative music festival created to fill a gap left when the city's Agosto Mes de las Artes program stopped hosting alternative acts. Now staged at Parque Bicentenario after outgrowing Parque La Carolina and later Parque Itchimbia, it draws crowds that have reached over 100,000 across a multi-day run, making it one of Ecuador's largest youth music gatherings.
QuitoFest began as a response to a gap: when the city's Agosto Mes de las Artes program stopped providing space for alternative and rock acts, organizers created a dedicated free festival to fill it, and the event has since grown into one of the largest youth music gatherings in Ecuador.
