Egyptian National Theatre Festival in Cairo
Egyptian National Theatre Festival launched in 2006 as the largest annual event dedicated to Egypt's domestic theatre movement, organized under the Ministry of Culture. A recent eighteenth edition featured thirty-five productions in official competition across roughly two and a half weeks in July and August, drawing from state institutions, universities, independent troupes and the free theatre scene.
