A sailing rally through El Gouna's engineered lagoon system and out into the open Red Sea, taking advantage of the resort town's marina infrastructure and reliable spring winds. Spectators watch much of the start and finish activity from waterfront restaurants and hotel terraces close to shore.
El Gouna Yacht Rally makes use of the Red Sea resort town's extensive network of man-made lagoons and marinas, engineered when El Gouna was built from open desert and salt flats into a self-contained sailing and watersports destination over the past three decades.
