Festival de Invierno Morazan in Perquin/Arambala
Festival de Invierno is an annual cultural festival held in Perquin, Morazan department, El Salvador, founded in 1992 in the mountain town best known for its Museum of the Revolution and former role as an FMLN stronghold during the Salvadoran Civil War. It runs alongside, and distinct from, Perquin's own Catholic fiestas patronales.
Perquin is a mountain town in Morazan department, in the far northeast of El Salvador, whose modern identity was forged during the Salvadoran Civil War, when it served as a stronghold and unofficial headquarters for the FMLN guerrilla movement through much of the 1980s.
