Festival Nacional de Teatro Escolar in Malabo/Bata

Festival Nacional de Teatro Escolar (FETES) is a national student theatre competition organized by Compania teatral Bocamandja with the Spanish Cultural Centers of Malabo and Bata, timed to the Day of the African Child. Up to thirty school productions on children's rights and values compete simultaneously in both cities each June, with cash prizes paid in CFA francs down to best actor and actress.

School theatre groups across Equatorial Guinea compete for cash prizes measured in CFA francs at the Festival Nacional de Teatro Escolar, a nine-edition-old competition that in 2025 doubled as the 20th anniversary of the theatre company that runs it.
