Haapsalu Early Music Festival in Haapsalu
Haapsalu Early Music Festival, founded in 1994 and staged inside Haapsalu Cathedral and St John's Church, is one of the Baltic region's leading festivals of historically informed performance practice. Organised by Studio Vocale under artistic director Laura Vadjon since 2015, it has hosted major international early-music names including Emma Kirkby, Wieland Kuijken and Collegium Vocale Gent.
Haapsalu Early Music Festival was founded in 1994 and has spent more than three decades establishing itself as one of the leading festivals of historically informed performance practice in the Baltic region, presenting early music played on period instruments and following historical performance techniques rather than modern orchestral convention.
