Viru Folk in Kasmu
Viru Folk is a folk and world-music festival held each August in Kasmu, a former sea-captains' village inside Lahemaa National Park. Running since 2008, it has spotlighted the music and culture of a different country or region at each edition since 2013, drawing crowds of up to around 12,000 and twice earning the European Festivals Association's EFFE Label.
Viru Folk has spotlighted a different country or region's music at each edition since 2013, turning what began as a general folk festival into something closer to an annual cultural exchange, staged in the captain's village of Kasmu inside Lahemaa National Park.
