Parnu Music Festival and Jarvi Academy in Parnu
A conducting school and orchestral festival founded in 2010 by Paavo Jarvi and his father Neeme Jarvi in the family's childhood summer town. Around sixteen conductors and up to 140 young musicians train each year through the Jarvi Academy, feeding into full orchestral concerts, chamber recitals and public masterclasses across roughly ten days each July.
Parnu Music Festival and the Jarvi Academy began in 2010, when conductor Paavo Jarvi founded the event together with his father, Neeme Jarvi, turning the family's childhood summer town into a full conducting school and orchestral festival.
