Estonian Music Days in Tallinn/Tartu
Estonia's leading platform for contemporary composition, running each spring since 1979 with premieres, orchestral programs and chamber concerts across Tallinn and, in some editions, Tartu. Founded by the Estonian Composers' Union to spotlight living national composers, it hosted the international World Music Days in 2019 for its fortieth anniversary.
The Estonian Composers' Union launched Estonian Music Days in 1979, then chaired by composer Jaan Raats, with the explicit goal of giving new Estonian music a dedicated public platform.
