Voru Folklore Festival in Voru
Estonia's longest-running folklore festival, held each July in the lakeside town of Voru since 1995 and drawing about ten thousand visitors annually. Costumed dance and music troupes from Estonia and abroad, invited through the international CIOFF network, perform in public squares and along Lake Tamula, alongside an accordion competition, street dancing, a craft market and open-air night screenings.
Voru Folklore Festival has run every July since 1995, making it the oldest folk festival of its kind in Estonia and, with roughly ten thousand visitors a year, also one of the biggest.
