The story

Lost in Music in Tampere

Lost in Music, launched in 2007 alongside the Musiikki & Media industry conference, is Finland's largest showcase festival, packing more than a hundred emerging artists across pop, hip-hop, rock, indie, and metal into Tampere's central club venues over a two-day run each autumn. It draws around fifteen thousand visitors alongside industry scouts, bookers, and media.

Lost in Music began in 2007 as a companion event to the Musiikki & Media industry conference, staging its first edition across various Tampere clubs from 18 to 20 October that year and establishing a format built around discovering new and rising artists rather than booking established headliners.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Lost in Music's showcase format, built to let industry professionals discover new and rising talent rather than book established headliners, gives it a distinct purpose compared to Finland's larger summer festivals: its lineup changes substantially each year by design, and its audience includes a notable share of bookers, label representatives, and journalists alongside the general public

02

The mystery stays covered

Spreading more than a hundred artists across the city's central club venues over just two days creates an unusually dense, multi-genre program concentrated into a compact urban footprint
