Mandji Battle Dance in Port-Gentil
Port-Gentil's Mandji Battle Dance, launched in 2018 by the Anouva Production label and now run as Gabon's largest national urban dance competition, pits crews against each other each summer, with rival crews from Libreville and Port-Gentil competing under a different chosen theme each year, building toward a ranked final rather than a single knockout night.
Anouva Production, a Gabonese entertainment label, launched the Mandji Battle Dance in 2018 and has since built it into what organizers describe as the country's largest national urban dance competition, staged each summer in Port-Gentil under the direction of the project's initiator, Carmen Ndaot.
