Ozurgeti Folklore Festival

Ozurgeti's State Folklore Center, home to Guria's distinctive Krimanchuli vocal style within Georgian polyphonic singing, hosts the Black Sea International Folklore Festival, drawing folk ensembles from across the region. The center's recording studio, concert halls and conductors' school make it a living training institution rather than a purely seasonal event venue.

Ozurgeti, the capital of Georgia's Guria region, is home to the State Folklore Center of Georgia, an institution built specifically to preserve, study and teach the region's folk music and dance traditions, including Krimanchuli, the distinctive high, yodel-like vocal technique that Gurian singers are particularly known for within Georgia's wider polyphonic singing tradition.
