Tushetoba in Tusheti
Tushetoba, or Shepherd's Day, marks the seasonal return of shepherds and flocks to Omalo, the center of Tusheti, closing out the longer Atnigenobebi festival cycle that begins one hundred days after Easter. A specially built hut serves traditional Tushetian food, folk groups perform, and shepherds themselves are formally honored for the season's work.
