Odweanoma Paragliding Festival in Kwahu
Named for its Odweanoma Mountain launch site above Atibie on the Kwahu ridge, this paragliding festival began in 2005 under Ghana's Ministry of Tourism and is now run by the Ghana Tourism Authority. Coverage centers on the mountain's demanding terrain and reliable lift, rated among the best flying conditions in West Africa.
Odweanoma Mountain, rising above the town of Atibie on the Kwahu ridge, is a single named take-off point that has effectively become shorthand for the whole Kwahu paragliding festival, since the mountain itself is what pilots and organizers actually rate as technically demanding and among the best flight experiences in West Africa.
