Nkyifie Festival Prang in Prang
Nkyifie Yam Festival marks Prang's annual harvest with a durbar of chiefs, drumming and shared food, while doubling as a communal self-appraisal of the town's conduct over the past year. Held most often in September under Bono East's Prang Traditional Area leadership, it has run for more than eighty editions.
Nkyifie takes its name from a word meaning abhorrence of filth, and the festival built around it functions in Prang as both a yam harvest celebration and an annual community self-appraisal.
