Plissken Festival in Athens

Plissken Festival began in December 2010 with roughly 80 international artists and selected local acts, staged at Technopolis, Athens' former gasworks complex in Gazi. Now held every June, it has built a genre-defying reputation spanning indie, funk, electronic and synth-pop, with past performers including Giorgio Moroder, Tinariwen, The Black Madonna, Bonobo and Caribou.

Plissken Festival began in December 2010 with a combined lineup of about 80 international artists alongside selected local acts, an unusually large roster for a first edition, staged at Technopolis, the former Athens gasworks complex in Gazi, on the edge of the Kerameikos archaeological district.
