Kalamata Dance Cup in Kalamata
An international dance competition in Kalamata each November spanning DanceSport, contemporary, ballet, hip hop, breakdance, aerial arts, acrobatics, show dance, belly dance and Greek folk dance, drawing over 2,000 participants from more than 400 organisations across ten-plus countries under the auspices of Greece's culture and tourism ministries.
Over two thousand dancers and athletes travel to Kalamata each November for a competition covering an unusually broad span of dance disciplines under one roof, from competitive DanceSport ballroom categories through contemporary, ballet, hip hop and breakdance to aerial arts, acrobatics, show dance, belly dance and Greek folk dance.
