Guam Ko'ko' Road Race in Tumon
Named for the endangered Guam rail, or ko'ko', this annual race offers a 13.1-mile out-and-back half marathon from Tumon through Hagåtña and Asan village, plus a 5K four-person Ekiden relay, both starting and finishing near Ypao Beach at Governor Joseph Flores Memorial Park on Guam's west coast.
The Guam rail, a flightless bird known locally as the ko'ko, gave its name to an annual half marathon and relay race that starts and finishes at Ypao Beach after a course through Hagåtña and Asan village.
