The North Show and Battle of Flowers in Saumarez Park/Castel
Run by the Northern Agricultural and Horticultural Society at Saumarez Park, The North Show combines traditional livestock and produce judging with the Battle of Flowers, an afternoon competition in which elaborately decorated floats vie for the Prix d'honneur before an illuminated evening parade and fireworks close the second day.
The North Show and Battle of Flowers has anchored Guernsey's summer calendar for many years, run by the Northern Agricultural and Horticultural Society across two days in the leafy grounds of Saumarez Park in Castel, combining a traditional country show with a specifically floral spectacle unique among Guernsey's summer festivals.
