Victoria Park, open since 1957, hosts the largest fair today, alongside Fa Hui Park and other district markets.

The custom behind Hong Kong's Lunar New Year flower markets traces back to markets held south of the Pearl River during the Ming Dynasty, and by the 1860s these markets had narrowed into a specific tradition held on Lunar New Year's Eve itself.
