Freestyle Festival Budapest in Budapest
A winter Ice Battle competition at Budapest's historic City Park Ice Rink, bringing dozens of top freestyle ice skaters together for head-to-head battles, open jam sessions, live DJ sets, and full lighting production each January or February. The illuminated ice and surrounding castle-like backdrop give evening sessions a particularly striking visual quality.
The world's largest continuous open-air artificial ice rink, first opened in the City Park in 1870 and fully renovated between 2009 and 2011, hosts a winter competition unlike anything else on Hungary's festival calendar: the Freestyle Festival, where dozens of top freestyle ice skaters from around the world compete head-to-head in a format organizers call Ice Battle.
