Koroshegy Tulip Festival in Koroshegy
Founded in 2012 by Lajos Szabo, the tulip and lavender park in Koroshegy on Lake Balaton's southern shore has grown into a roughly seventeen-hectare, pick-your-own attraction with more than half a million tulips across a hundred varieties, plus a native dark-purple Tihany lavender grown alongside a lighter French variety, all blooming for about three weeks each spring.
On the southern shore of Lake Balaton, the village of Koroshegy is home to a tulip and lavender park founded in 2012 by Lajos Szabo, who started the venture as a small family operation with friends for the first lavender harvest before it grew into what organizers describe as Hungary's largest pick-your-own tulip park.
