Siofok Rose Festival in Siofok
Siófok's Pünkösdi Rózsaünnep, or Pentecost Rose Festival, opens Lake Balaton's summer season each year over the Pentecost long weekend in late May. Centered on the town's 1920s-era Rózsakert rose garden, it features a Saturday parade led by mounted hussars, sister-city cultural performances, concerts, and rose-themed markets, all held free of charge in the harbor station area.
Siófok's Rózsakert, a rose garden first laid out in the 1920s and now home to roughly six thousand rose bushes across seventy varieties, forms the centerpiece of the town's Pünkösdi Rózsaünnep, held each year over the Pentecost long weekend in late May.
