Tata Water Music Flower Festival in Tata
Since 1994, Tata's last-weekend-of-June festival combines elaborate flower exhibitions with live music across four stages and water-themed shows including sailing and dragon boats on Lake Oreg-to, drawing over 100,000 visitors to castle and lakeside venues. Many local floral designers spend the preceding weeks preparing entries specifically for the festival's exhibitions.
Eva Szentessy, then director of Tata's Magyary Zoltan Cultural Center, initiated what grew into the Viz Zene Virag Fesztival, the Water Music Flower Festival, building on the earlier success of a baroque flower-arranging exhibition and running the event annually since 1994 on the last weekend of June.
