Reykjavik Fringe Festival in Reykjavík
Launched in 2018 and linked to the Nordic Fringe Network, this open-access festival brings a week of theater, dance, circus, comedy, drag, and children's shows to small venues across central Reykjavik each June. Performers register rather than undergo curated selection, and the festival runs during Iceland's near-continuous June daylight.
Local organizers launched the Reykjavik Fringe Festival in 2018, joining Iceland to a Nordic Fringe Network that already linked fringe festivals across Scandinavia and giving Icelandic performers and small international touring acts a shared week-long platform.
