The Color Run's Reykjavik edition draws roughly 12,000 participants for an untimed 5-kilometer run through Hljomskalagardurinn park, with color-powder stations at each kilometer and a party finish. The Icelandic event has run for roughly a decade and organizers have periodically adjusted its schedule and venue in recent years.
The Color Run arrived in Reykjavik as the local edition of a global event series staged in more than 300 cities across over 50 countries, and it has grown into one of Iceland's largest participatory sport-adjacent events, drawing crowds estimated around 12,000 participants in its bigger editions.
