Marwar Festival Jodhpur in Jodhpur
A two-day Jodhpur festival held around the Ashwin full moon of Sharad Purnima, honoring Rajasthani folk heroes through Maand-style ballads and dance across venues including Mehrangarh Fort, Government Umed Stadium, and Mandore Garden. It combines folk music, an equestrian and polo dimension near the fort, and lighter community contests like turban-tying and tug of war.
The Marwar Festival, originally known as the Maand Festival after the region's classical folk singing style, is a two-day event held around the full moon of Ashwin, known as Sharad Purnima, timed roughly to the same autumn full-moon period recognized elsewhere in India.
