Synchronize Fest in Jakarta
Synchronize Fest grew from a 2000s electronic-music initiative into a three-day festival, taking its current large-scale form in 2016 through a partnership between record label demajors and organizer Dyandra Promosindo. Held each October at Gambir Expo in North Jakarta, it deliberately spans genres from pop and rock to jazz, punk, metal, hip-hop, reggae, and ska, with artists from the 1960s through the 2000s on the same bill.
Synchronize Fest's roots trace to a 2000s electronic-music initiative that grew into a three-day festival by 2009 at the Plaza Indonesia Entertainment X'nter, but the event took its current large-scale branded form on October 28 to 30, 2016, through a collaboration between record label demajors and organizer Dyandra Promosindo, a partnership that marks the effective founding of the festival as it exists today.
