Hamedan International Theater Festival for Children and Youth in Hamedan
Iran's flagship children's and youth theater festival, first staged as Hope in Hamedan in 1991 and now past its thirtieth edition. Organized by the Dramatic Arts Center of the Ministry of Culture, it stages plays, puppetry, and interactive theater for young audiences from Iranian and invited international companies in indoor venues.
The first nationwide children's and youth theater festival in Iran was staged under the name Hope in Hamedan in September 1991, and the city has hosted the event, later renamed the International Theatre Festival for Children and Youth, for more than three decades since, reaching a thirtieth edition by 2025.
