Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle in Killarney/Ring of Kerry
Ireland's largest one-day charity cycle, launched in 1982 by a group of Killarney residents, covering a hundred and seventy kilometers anticlockwise around the Ring of Kerry each July with staggered start points to manage its large field, raising over twenty-one million euro for charity across its history.
A group of Killarney residents conceived the idea of cycling the entire Ring of Kerry for charity in 1982, launching what has since grown into an event organizers describe as Ireland's largest one-day charity cycle, held each year on a Saturday in early-to-mid July.
