Kibbutz Ein Gev's founders, who settled the Sea of Galilee's eastern shore in 1937, established an annual Passover-week music festival often cited as the oldest of its kind in Israel. A 2,500-seat concert hall built specifically for the event lets Israeli vocal and orchestral ensembles perform across the holiday week against lakeside views toward the Golan Heights.

Kibbutz Ein Gev's pioneers, who arrived from Germany, Austria and the Baltic states in 1937 to found a tower-and-stockade settlement on the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee, launched an annual music festival timed to the intermediate days of Passover that is often described as the oldest running festival of its kind in Israel.
