Umbria Jazz in Perugia

Founded in 1973, Umbria Jazz fills Perugia's historic center each July with free street performances alongside ticketed headline concerts at venues including the Arena Santa Giuliana. A separate Umbria Jazz Winter edition runs around New Year's Eve in nearby Orvieto. Now one of Europe's longest-running jazz festivals, it has broadened over decades to include blues and soul.
