Aqaba Inclusive Children's Festival in Aqaba
Around 500 children, including many with disabilities, took part in an inclusive recreational festival in Aqaba built around shared games, theatre and art activities rather than separate programming. Organized through cultural institutions, government bodies and community groups, the event reflects Jordan's wider push toward inclusive education and aims to build confidence and normalize disability inclusion through mixed-ability play.
Roughly five hundred children and their families gathered in Aqaba for a recreational festival built specifically to integrate children with disabilities into the same games, theatre and art activities as their peers, rather than running separate parallel programming.
