Fuheis Christmas Market in Fuheis
Fuheis, a hill town near Amman with a large Christian population, hosts Jordan's most concentrated Christmas market each December along its historic Al Balqa Alley. Expect roasted chestnuts, mulled wine, Nutella-stuffed donuts, festive lighting, cafe seating under transparent umbrellas, and Santa Claus parading through the Old Town streets with bells, drums and bagpipes.
Fuheis turns its Old Town alleyways into Jordan's most concentrated Christmas market each December, a fitting role for a hill town where roughly 95 percent of residents are Christian, split between Orthodox and Catholic communities, and where the country's largest Christmas tree traditionally goes up as the season's centerpiece.
