Petra by Night Festival

Since 1998, Petra by Night has guided visitors along a candlelit path through the Siq to the illuminated Treasury, accompanied by traditional Bedouin music, with a 2025 update adding projection mapping and immersive narration to the original format. The experience runs Sunday through Thursday, 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., costing 30 Jordanian dinars, with tickets sold only on-site and a standard daytime Petra ticket required beforehand.

First launched in 1998, Petra by Night has become one of Jordan's most recognizable cultural experiences, guiding visitors along a path lit by more than 2,000 candles through the narrow Siq canyon toward the illuminated facade of the Treasury, all in near-total silence broken only by the sound of traditional Bedouin music.
