Ultra X Jordan in Wadi Rum
Ultra X Jordan, also called the Wadi Rum Ultra, is a five-day, roughly 220-kilometer multi-stage ultramarathon held each September or October across Wadi Rum's dramatic desert terrain, reaching its 10th anniversary edition. Unlike fully self-supported ultras, organizers transport competitors' gear between campsites and resupply water at regular checkpoints, while the route passes rocky canyons, sand dunes and historic sites throughout the landscape nicknamed the Valley of the Moon.
Ultra X Jordan, also known as the Wadi Rum Ultra, sends competitors across roughly 220 kilometers of desert terrain over five consecutive stages run between Monday and Friday, with each day's stage covering between 35 and 60 kilometers and starting anywhere from 4 a.m.
