The Spirit of Tengri in Almaty
Central Asia's largest contemporary ethnic music festival, held annually in Almaty since 2013 as free open-air concerts blending traditional instruments like dombra and kobyz with modern world-music production. It has featured performers from around ninety countries across its history, drawing enormous free crowds each edition.
