ReMusica Festival in Prishtina
ReMusica Festival is the kind of music festival where the useful story begins with place, timing and the way people move through the day. On the ground, the strongest plan starts with the rhythm of the event: performances, local crowds, sound checks, food breaks and the movement between stages or venues.
Contemporary classical music, the kind built on twentieth-century compositional experimentation rather than the standard orchestral repertoire, has a narrow institutional home in most countries, and in Kosovo that home is largely ReMusica, a festival founded and steered by composer Rafet Rudi.
