The story

Sunny Hill Festival in Prishtina

Founded in 2018 by singer Dua Lipa and her father Dukagjin Lipa, the Sunny Hill Festival is Kosovo's largest music festival, held in Pristina each summer. After outgrowing its original Germia Park site, the festival moved in 2024 to a permanent venue, the Sunny Hill Festival Park in Bernice e Eperme, and has headlined international acts including Dua Lipa, Stormzy, Calvin Harris, and Katy Perry.

Sunny Hill Festival exists because Dua Lipa, the English singer whose father Dukagjin Lipa is Kosovan, chose to build a music festival in Pristina rather than simply perform there, using the event to raise funds for the Sunny Hill Foundation charity the family had already established.
