Mounted archery, one of three hunting disciplines demonstrated near Bokonbayevo each August as part of the Salburun festival on Issyk-Kul's southern shore, alongside eagle falconry and taigan sighthounds. Riders gallop past a line of targets, drawing and releasing traditional recurve bows in quick succession, judged on accuracy and speed.
