Later in the day, after the dawn almsgiving has concluded at Pha That Luang, the esplanade beside the great stupa becomes the stage for Ti Khee, sometimes spelled Tikhy or Tikhee, a traditional stick-and-ball game that has accompanied the That Luang Festival for generations.
