Festival International Al Bustan in Beit Mery/Al Bustan
Al Bustan International Festival of Music and the Performing Arts, founded by Myrna Bustani after Lebanon's civil war, runs each year across roughly five weeks in February and March in Beit Mery. Around 18 performances span chamber music, opera, orchestral concerts, and dance, drawing international musicians alongside Lebanese artists, making it the country's first major classical music festival.
Al Bustan International Festival of Music and the Performing Arts was founded by Myrna Bustani as a deliberate act of cultural revival following seventeen years of Lebanese civil war, positioning classical music and the performing arts as a statement of national renewal rather than pure entertainment.
