Liberian Entertainment Awards in Washington, D.C./Liberia diaspora
The Liberian Entertainment Awards, founded in 2009 by Tarkus Zonen, is an annual ceremony recognizing Liberian talent in music, film, fashion, sports, and community service, celebrated by Liberians at home and in the diaspora. Washington, D.C. has repeatedly hosted the event, including a recent edition at Lisner Auditorium where Nigerian star Davido won Best International Act.
Tarkus Zonen founded the Liberian Entertainment Awards in 2009 as an annual ceremony recognizing Liberians both at home and across the diaspora for outstanding contributions to entertainment, and the show has since grown into one of the most visible platforms celebrating Liberian talent in music, film, fashion, sports, and community service on an international stage.
