Bliuzo Naktys in Varniai/Lukstas Lake
Bliuzo naktys, Blues Nights, is Lithuania's oldest open-air summer festival, held on the shore of Lake Lukstas near Varniai every first weekend of July since 1993. Its relaxed, Woodstock-like atmosphere draws blues, rock, and folk musicians from Lithuania and abroad. Camping is central to the experience, with many attendees settling in along the lakeshore for the full weekend rather than commuting in for a single day of music.
On the shore of Lake Lukstas in the Varniai countryside of the Telsiai district, Bliuzo naktys, or Blues Nights, holds a claim as the oldest open-air summer music festival in Lithuania, tracing its roots back to 1993 in the earliest years after the country regained independence.
