The story

OS Festival Vilnius in Vilnius

OS Festival is a free, family-oriented sport celebration at Vingis Park built around orienteering, run by the Lithuanian Orienteering Sport Federation. Around 25 activities fill the weekend, including the OS Labyrinth navigation puzzle, the OS Biathlon combining laser shooting with orienteering, and a rogaining race, timed to coincide with World Orienteering Week and aimed at introducing newcomers to the sport.

OS Festival is Lithuania's public-facing celebration of orienteering, staged over a weekend at Vingis Park and built to introduce a niche competitive sport to families and curious newcomers who have never picked up a compass and map.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Few festivals anywhere build an entire public program around orienteering, a sport that rarely gets standalone civic attention, which makes OS Festival distinctive by category alone

02

The mystery stays covered

Its signature OS Biathlon challenge, blending laser rifle shooting with a timed navigation course and fronted by an Olympic-level biathlete ambassador, gives casual visitors a taste of two disciplines most will never otherwise try

03

The city starts moving

A dedicated schools competition, rewarding the winning student team with their own orienteering day back at school, extends the festival's reach into youth sport beyond the single weekend

04

The water draws everyone in

Free admission and roughly 25 activities keep the event genuinely accessible rather than aimed only at existing orienteering enthusiasts
