Like A Jazz Machine in Dudelange/opderschmelz
Like A Jazz Machine is an international jazz festival held at the opderschmelz cultural centre in Dudelange, a town that styles itself Luxembourg's jazz capital. First staged in 2012, the festival spans traditional to contemporary jazz trends across concerts, jam sessions and DJ sets. Its 14th edition featured the James Carter Quartet's 'Trane: A Centennial Supreme' project, honoring John Coltrane.
Dudelange, a former steel town in southern Luxembourg, has spent more than a decade quietly building a claim to a title few outsiders would expect: Luxembourg's jazz capital.
